Coming this Fall, your children will have an opportunity to explore music in small group activities at Kid Corral. This class will be appropriate for pre-K kids who are 3-5 years.

Cottonwood Marketplace will go to the center each Wednesday morning for a 30-minute instructional Music Class.

The class will include rhythm and motion, note recognition and more through fun activities. By mid-semester, it is hopeful that the kids will be ready to learn some basic keyboarding skills…. piano!

This will be a progressive, instructional class so weekly participation is required. Each child will need to be registered for an entire semester (August – November) Spots are limited and will be filled as first come, first served.

Monthly tuition is $35 per month and will be paid directly to Cottonwood Marketplace. There is a 15% discount for paying for the full semester. You must select every month and add to cart and use code MUSICTIME2021 at checkout to receive discount.

Monthly Tuition will be due by the 1st of each month. If tuition is not paid for the upcoming month, your child will be dropped for the semester.

Children attending FALL 2021 semester will automatically have a spot reserved for Spring 2022 semester. This is a progressive class. So...those who attend Fall 2021 will be more advanced than those just beginning in later semesters. If you have more questions, please feel free to email cottonwoodmarketplace@gmail.com

INSTRUCTOR:  Owner/operator of Cottonwood Marketplace, Kerri Melvin will be instructing the Music Time class. (myself)

I began playing the piano at age four and continued studying music throughout high school and college where I was in concert band and marching band. Throughout my adulthood, I have taught piano to school age kids (even those as young as 3 years of age) for a cummulative total of about 6 years.

I have also been involved with several years of involvment in Musical Theatre programs, IHSA Music Contests, IMEA Music Contests, etc while my son was school age. Music is something that I grew up with in my household. WIth all of my siblings and parents being musicians. It is my goal to give even the youngest children an opportunity to excplore the world of music and perhaps one day want to learn to play some kind of musical instrument.

No one every outgrows music. It will stay with your child forever.
